We also enter plays for
the Lorn One Act Play Festival as well as many other local festivals and we have had much success over the years.
Our best achievement was winning 6 awards in total for 'Almost the Bride of Dracula'.
'Almost the bride of Dracula'
This year we performed a comedy called "Easy Stages" about the trials and tribulations of a production crew.
Set backstage at a rehearsal of Hamlet, with only 2 days to go before opening night, disorganisation and chaos reigns as the crew try to break the scene (quite literally) and just where should that candlestick go?
'Dracula'
OTHER PERFORMANCES
'Scenery for Dick Turpin'
'Gibby Proposes'
'A Legend' at Kilchurn'
TO BE OR NOT TO BE
.....Different We try not to be confined in our choice of plays and we have tackled difficult subjects as well as different settings.
One year, working in conjunction with a professional group, 'Stray Theatre', we staged a dramatic event which took
the form of a medieval wedding in Kilchurn Castle. The script was written by
Ruth Black, a local lady and the play was directed by David Lightbody, the director of Stray
Theatre.
