1.Opening Remarks/Apologies – The Chair
welcomed everyone to the AGM.There were
no apologies.
2.Developments
since May 2007 AGM – The death of Frances Baird was a great loss
to LACWA but the committee was determined to carry on with the website.The Chair mentioned the ‘What’s On’ page had
improved and the Community Council page was very useful.The computer at Lochawe Store was outdated
and The Chair suggested a replacement computer be bought (either secondhand or
new) and he agreed to look into the matter.JK
Sal suggested she seek
Aandi’s advice on what to get and see if he would shop around for the best
price.SN
3.Accounts – The Treasurer presented the accounts.
4.Committee – There is
a vacancy for a representative from Lochaweside.The Chair said he would try and find someone.JK
5.Site
Update/Possible new sites – Sal will meet John Patrick in Inveraray to
get a quote for revamping the site.It
was agreed the site would still be hosted by Newtonmore as it was too difficult
to transfer it elsewhere.SN
6.Invoicing –
The
committee will meet at Carraig Thura on Wednesday 10 June 2009 at 7.30pm to
complete the invoicing.It was suggested
the invoices could be emailed to save money.The fees will remain at the 2007 level.ALL
7.Telephone
book –
The
Secretary handed out the first copies of the Local Telephone Book.It was agreed everyone would check the
entries and would contact the Secretary by Friday 15 May 2009 if they see any
errors.The Secretary will print the
book over the weekend and distribute copies to Dalmally Post Office, Lochawe
Post Office and to John Kerr (for Bridge of Orchy) the following week.KC
8.Any Other
Business – Trevor Baney said the Dalmally Historical Association
would be updating their web page.
